There’s an interesting theology argument here, because as long as you strive to be better every day and accept Jesus in your heart, you are saved. Nobody is perfect, only one man has ever been perfect. You don’t have to be perfect to make it to heaven. Only crazed puritanicals would argue that your works aren’t good enough.

“I’ve learned the path to heaven, is full of sinners and believers, learned that happiness on earth ain’t just for high achievers.” - Brooks and Dunn

Careful, you’re going to piss off the elitist Christians who only believe they are saved and those who they would punish won’t be.

Christ died for ALL mankind.

Christ died for all mankind in principle, not in practice. "That whosoever believeth on him would not die, but have eternal life." Reject Him and you're damned.

  1. It's Goyim, with an i.

  2. Salvation is offered first to the Jew, and also to the Greek. It has nothing to do with what tribe of humanity we're descended from, but who will believe.

Remember when the Gentile woman came to Christ, and he asked her if it is right to give the Children's bread instead to the dogs. Seemed like a harsh judgment, but in His divine grace, He was actually setting her up for the GREATEST, and most Wise, comeback possible, that the Dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the Master's table. At which point Christ's joy at her faith was uncontainable, and He immediately and miraculously healed her daughter from afar.

We Goyim are indeed the highly blessed dogs, but the Master's Children may still avail themselves of the bread that He has for them.

Your works ALONE aren't good enough. Works are important. They are proof of faith. Faith without works is dead.. But works without Faith are as a clanging gong or a crashing cymbal. Much sound and fury, signifying nothing. They are a lock and key to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Faith saves us, and you can tell a person has faith based on the fruits of the spirit. Faith without action is dead. If you don't act any different as a Christian, all we can say is you need to seriously self reflect, but we aren't the ultimate judges.

And then you finished it off with Brooks and Dunn! Beautiful!

As a child in church, we were always taught the path to heaven is ABC: Admit, Believe, Commit.

Admit that you have sinned and fallen short.

Believe that Jesus died for your sins, and that they have been washed away by the blood he shed.

And Commit your life to Christ. Live through Christ's teachings and learn what is expected of you as a Christian.

The best part about being a True Child of God and cracking the Bible open for yourself, is that you learn how full of shit so many Modern Christian's are. There are some good legit followers, but there are many who have given Christianity a bad name and don't understand how quickly Jesus would put them in their place if he were here today.

Jesus did NOT play. He knew what was up and wasn't afraid to call people out on their B.S. He loved and cared for the people casted out of society, But didn't suffer fools.

Everyone should try to read the Bible for themselves outside of a church setting. Just open it to a random page and start reading. Proverbs is a great place to start if you feel like you're struggling or need guidance.

Well, I think Scripture also says some things about confessing with your mouth, but yeah I somewhat agree with you. Puritans were a bit nuts, but they were better than Christians who thought they could take the title and live however they please.
