Audio sensatory meridian response. When someone whispers or makes quiet noises in close proximity to your ears and you “tingles.” Those tingles are ASMR. Used to near but now it’s over sexualized.

Because they aren't targeting your brain, only your pants. If you use Twitch as an example you need to wear a bikini 2 sizes too small to whisper in your ear. The first letter is "A" for audio, cleavage is not required.

it doesnt need to have anything to do with humans at all, a dynamic mic, a high sensitivity with a low cut, you can capture an orchestra of crickets, and that technically would still be it.

the idea WAS supposed to me more meditative. now its bate material, cause talentless women, and fuckless boys

Not gay or a weirdo but sure why not. watching time lapses of task being done like a room remodel, wood tapping, or a shoe shine is pretty relaxing and helps me sleep. I've seen them called unintentional asmr. I gotta go tell my girlfriend I'm a gay weirdo I guess.
