I've discussed this very thing with many people, and I haven't heard a better name suggested than "Boycotts.win" that efficiently communicates the goal of the community. Other names, such as "Action" or "BuyPatriots" require explanation, while "Boycotts" is very direct and immediately understood by most.
I think the art would do the heavy lifting when it comes to defining the patriotic goals of the community. The title needs to be simple and to the point however.
That was the original purpose of them starting consumeproduct.win.
With a name like that, I can see why it didn't take off.
We should have an extensive boycott list, which is paired with a list of places to receive "knock off" products from companies that aren't evil.
So those who don't want to cut certain things out of their lives can still have them, but not give their money to the evil companies.
I myself usually just fully cut things out of my life, but u know everyone has things they love and don't want to love without.
The problem with a 'list' is that most people are too lazy to actively check it. It's much better to have an active community to engage with.
"boycott" - that is childish and sexist. needs to be "amancott"
"Womancott", you sexist!
"AWomancott", you transphobe!
the flair concepts are interesting.
I don't disagree, other than the name. I feel as if there is an r/politics problem without specifying the side a bit
