I don’t quite buy this. A lot of places in Illinois will not accept a FOID in place of a government issued photo ID. I’ve tried whipping out my FOID when I misplaced my drivers license and got told “no” every time even though I said it still accurately reflected my birthdate.

Not sure if all FOIDs have a picture on them. I know some States issue CCW permits with photos and some dont.

Foids definitely have a picture on them.

Oddly, they make you submit a picture, but then when you receive the card it has the same pic as your drivers license.
