I've been wondering about this a lot recently. If I were to ever have a son whether I would get him circumcised or not. I am, but I also recognize that jews invented it even though my family is Christian. What are your guys thoughts? Is there benefits to both options, or what.

As far as the religious/Biblical aspects of circumcision, I’ve come to view it in a symbolic sense. Honestly, if God wanted penises without foreskin, wouldn’t He have just made them that way? Even then, what kind of God is He if cutting away the foreskin is something that pleases him? And then, what do you do about those uncircumcised in heart and ears (also mentioned in the Bible)? We understand those are symbolic language, but we can’t understand it’s symbolic when it comes to genitalia.
I was circumcised as a child, and had both of my boys circumcised, but if I had it to do over, I’d keep all the parts we were born with.
