Well, they maybe had similar constitution up until 80's, when it was repealed

They also have total ban on guns and even gun manufacturing tooling, so

But point still stands. Constitution alone is not enough. People need to fully agree on it and actually enforce it, from ordinary citizens through police, politicians to army members

Next you'll be telling me a politician's oath mean's something.

This is a point a lot of conservatives, especially of the libertarian variant, struggle with.

Liberty is meant only for good moral men not for everyone.

If you expect any society to be completely free from bad people, you're living in a dream world. The constitution recognizes this and attempts to correct for it. The better question is: what is everyone going to do when the people have become so corrupt, that the checks and balances don't mean anything any more? Some amazing words on a piece of paper aren't going to be enough.

It is true that, in the United States, at least, we have a constitution that imposes strict limits on some powers of government. But, as we have discovered in the past century, no constitution can interpret or enforce itself; it must be interpreted by men. And if the ultimate power to interpret a constitution is given to the government’s own Supreme Court, then the inevitable tendency is for the Court to continue to place its imprimatur on ever-broader powers for its own government. Furthermore, the highly touted “checks and balances” and “separation of powers” in the American government are flimsy indeed, since in the final analysis all of these divisions are part of the same government and are governed by the same set of rulers -- Murray Rothbard

"Mask rules and gun laws were only made for a people who believe in the omnipotent power of Government. They are wholly inadequate to a free society."

Finally. We can claim religious grounds to disobey laws we don't agree with.

In a nutshell, the more we self govern, the less government is needed. The opposite is also true.

We just need a constitution that recognizes communists as not being people and thus are not protected by any law.

Which I think highlights this post. Laws are meaningless unless enforced.
