It’s from my Russian friend. Very hot trend in Russia right now. He says you Americans invented it, lol. Theory is:

  • reduced lead deposits in a barrel;
  • bullet speed increased;

Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly. I just ordered 50 lb of linotype ingots myself, and have been pretty convinced of the polymer coated bullets for awhile. Hardcast + Polymer is a helluva substitute for jacketed, with some shooters documenting pushing these upwards of 3K FPS.

Hi-Tek is exactly the coating I was considering, just wondering how easy it is to work with.

Shower thoughts about how easy it'll be to turn them on a lathe to get a concentric hollowpoint (for the pistoles).
