This was what I came here to post. I think I'm more concerned that our educators think that a pine tree is a lynching tree. I'm no expert in lynching, but I've climbed a few trees in my day.
I didn't even think about the logistics of it. First you'd have to saw off branches from the bottom otherwise someone could just sit or stand on branches. Plus the bottom branches would be the longest and thickest. Then when you go up, it's like they get smaller, so you risk a person being too close to the trunk.
Good luck finding an evergreen with branches big enough to hang someone from.

You could make it happen but you'd have to be very determined.
