The project festered until 2009 Obama spent billions to get high speed rail in California. 2020 the project was to be abandoned when Trump refused to give them money for work they had not completed. Total cost of build to date is 80 billion and they are no closer to having a train people can ride. These young kinds think government can expedite things electric cars and rail. This will be a major life lesson for some.
