I wonder what algorithm they'll use then. A human scientist and good mathematician can do 2.5 SHA256 hashes per day. Intel core i7 does about 100mh/s and a Bitmain Antminer ASIC device does 100Th/s.
Scrypt, ethash and most others differs only in the fact that they consume more memory which makes the CPU device a bottle neck. But there's still many GB of data that needs to be stored for each hash.
This is nothing any human brain could do, unless they're considering some kind of quantum computing. Which BTW would still be slower than the Bitmain mdevice, what are they up to?
