It makes sense to me because Jesus said his body is bread and his blood is wine. So we should make homemade bread on honor of his body that was risen on Easter day in celebration of him. Also drink wine with the bread.

I'm a Jew here, I make bread I love making bread but I want you to know the bread Jesus was referring to was more of a matza cracker with no yeast. Yeast was viewed as sin in symbolism. They also drank multiple cups of wine drinking too various things

While yeast ~ sin is commonly taught, it's absurd... I'll give a few scriptural examples:

Lev 23:17 They shall be of fine flour, and they shall be baked with leaven, as firstfruits to the Lord

Matt 13:33 “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, till it was all leavened.”

Matt 16:12 Then they understood that he did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

If leaven were symbolically sin, it would be absolutely ludicrous to use it as a comparison to the kingdom or offer it as a first fruit... scripture aside; symbolism involves very natural straight forward observations. The most simple for leaven would be "that which causes things to rise/grow/reproduce"

While sin does reproduce, it does not cause one to rise (much the opposite).

Leaven is more closely "spirit or word"

Leaving is good for those feasts that are mentioned the first fruits and stuff however for Passover it is forbidden hence the feast of unleavened bread right before Passover. Were the Jews going clean out their houses symbolically of course of anything pertaining to yeast. Good grasp of the scriptures

Yes, I'm aware of the feast of unleavened bread, I'm just saying leaven isn't sin while acknowledging that is what is commonly taught

No it is an archetype of sin, in certain types of seasons. There's nothing wrong with yeast or leaven and in certain cases it's okay but like a play it takes on a "character" in certain feasts or celebrations. if that makes any sense {for and against}

Bread is bread bro. Its made from wheat flour and I believe it wouldn't be appropriate if the dough didn't rise like Jesus did. Its in his honor. Plus Jewish people don't believe Jesus Christ was the messiah so I really don't care what you say about your bread.

It's a little mean, I merely telling you that the bread Jesus ate was like today's motza cracker to be historically accurate.I'm not condemning you for making any kind of bread I'm just trying to enlighten you of the culture at that time. I make bread with yeast in it and it's pretty good. And not all Jews do not not believe in Jesus I do I'm what's called a Messianic Jew he is my Lord and Savior and King of the Nations.

Thats cool. Why don't you just call yourself a Christian though? Do you believe there is a difference between a Christian and a Messianic Jew?

No there is no difference between a Christian and a Messianic Jew, in Christ it says there is no difference between Jew or or gentile, slave or free, man or woman, we are all equal in christ. I call myself a Messianic jew because I am Jew by blood and I believe in the Messiah or The Christ. As a Messianic Jew I have a bigger duty to understand the culture around jesus's time to help enlighten modern day Christians to understand him better. Not that I am better than anyone else, I don't think myself so, I just like helping people to understand if they don't.

Easter is about Jesus rising from his grave. His body rising up. Why would anyone not use dough that rises to represent Jesus? On Easter! When it the only thing that truly represents him!

The tomb was empty on Easter morning. The Ascension happened many days later. Christ did not “rise up from a grave” do you own a Bible? Or are you drunk posting
