As a black dude in a black area I dare say 99% of the people I talk to have wanted nothing to do with this vaccine. We didn't want the vaccine when it was just an idea... then when the white politicians were saying "not a chance I'd take Trump's vaccine" suddenly turns into "black people take it first!" Suddenly it went from 50% not wanting it to suddenly was 99% not wanting it.

Many of us don't care about religious reasons to not take it. We just know something is fishy about a 1 year vaccine. Old Timers keep saying Tuskegee and we are not your guinea pigs.

As a comedy skit this feels weak. Like are they mocking black people for not wanting the vaccine? It feels like we're a target rather than "we're all having fun laughing at jokes." Maybe that's the point. Mock us into submission. Mock your belief in church, mock you believing Facebook when we all know SNL is where we should be getting our trustworthy news, and so on.

Perhaps they needed some white people on stage to make it feel more of a "we are all laughing together at the vaccine being suspicious or laughing at people being suspicious" rather than "we are laughing at black people." Perhaps that's just my bias. I wonder how the cast felt about this. Like if they thought oh this is A+ material or eh this is filler, we know it will bomb, or just indifferent.

I feel their music video last week about old people who got the vaccine mocking young people was actually entertaining. It was well done and had a lot of fun. Good parody, good budget, threw in elements of 90s rap videos which enhanced it, but that's a music video for ya rather than this "game show" abomination.
