Doorbell rings and we see a lily bouquet on the step and our daughters' godparents (mid 60s) standing well down the sidewalk wearing matching tshirts and masks, wishing us happy Easter and offering sorrow that they "can't" join us despite our repeated invitations to come inside. Our girls are in their 30s and I am just sickened and saddened by their godparents ☹️

That is troubling.
Is there a way to chose other godparents? Maybe that is too extreme. I don’t know much about how that all works.
