Washington was a colonel under British rule, then a member of the house of burgesses before the Continental congress existed. He was elite and a military and political leader. He wasn’t a lowly sod buster. The Continental congress was politicians. The Revolution wasn’t a bunch of sod busters taking up arms when the politicians and military said we had to have peace at all costs.
This notion has been in my head for many years. How one becomes beholden to an employer and "the system" to toe the line simply because of debt and the need (or noble honesty) to pay it back. The wokeism turned up to eleven has only solidified this since it's apparent one risks their livelihood if they speak out.
And your level of income is irrelevant... I mean someone with a objectively high salary like the pundits and athletes are still beholden to a higher power... because there’s no alternative for them
To an extent I would agree. But your income level can directly affect the size of lines of credit, mortgages, etc. (See edit below) However, it is up to the individual to be fiscally responsible. That being said, fiscal responsibility can be more or less difficult depending on where one lives and why one chooses to live there.
[edit] that is too say, it seems you could get yourself into deeper doo-doo the more credit you're allowed to have!
Now I hate going to work today even more.
And leaders willing to put it on the line and not condemn patriots for doing and saying patriotic shit.

People in power entice with salaries those who demonstrate that they toe the “company line”
And foreign allies for funds, arms, and training (Dutch, French, Spanish)
All empires have enemies ...
You seem to ignore how, historically, peasant uprisings never work unless there is either/or:
It’s true ... you’re right ... but i would add to that 3. Economic independence
Which is why the British civil war happened when it happened ... but not the many Latin American revolutions
