I got 30 days if leave for free once because the guy who approved the leave retired while I was gone and nobody could fix it. After being yelled at to fix something I couldn't fix for 4mo that I just hit cancel to see what would happen and... It disappeared lol.
I feel you but it's not something you go and brag about as if it's some great accomplishment. Not AWOL though, like planned leave but didn't record it on the payroll.
