"The truth matters, and the truth is that George Floyd’s death, while unfortunate, has precisely nothing to do with racism in America."

Even before seeing the body cam footage, I didn't understand how this incident had anything to do with race other than the fact that Floyd was black. I remember thinking, "Yeah, this looks pretty bad. But what would have been different if he had been white?" I can't know the answer to that, of course, but I'm guessing that if a white person had exhibited the same behavior it would have ended the same way.

I'm sure some woke person would read that and tell me I am clueless about "systemic racism," my "white priviledge is showing," "that's some whitey BS right there." But I truly don't see the floyd scenario playing out any differently had the suspect been white.
