Most of the people I know are spread across a whole SPECTRUM from: scared-to-death (the musicians I play among weekly, for instance) because even if they aren't in a group that's suffering from "co-morbidities," either their spouse or parents are...through folks like my wife and I who've had the virus & got over it...all the way to people who may be like my wife and I (in that they've survived it) are FED UP with the incessant catastrophizing of the MSM-carried stories. I'd point out that many who come across as "flat-earthers" to the highly educated among us are just people who understand and yet are not as eloquent in their diction as they express their feelings.
Now I've just spent an inordinate amount of time weaving that tiny tapestry of two sentences together above. I'll get to the point. Many of us have lived through flu seasons that have killed more people than has COVID-19. The difference is nobody fanned the flames constantly to create public panic for the apparent purpose of driving people to spend money and QUIT THEIR JOBS (or their jobs quit THEM). The Leftists perpetrating this are clearly standing in the open and are being allowed to keep up their "game."
We just want the Left to SHUT UP and SIT THE BLANK DOWN, so we can go about our business and re-build society. But they will not. So expect push-back. One cannot (in simple honesty) avoid the realization that COVID is being used for political reasons.
By the way, BasedMedicalDoctor, congratulations on your accomplishment. Please do us a favor, however, and don't run with the leftist pack...be straight with us. Some of us CHOSE different paths than you chose, but are just as well educated and trained.
I agree with you. I want the left and media to shut the fuck up too. The issue I take with conspiracists who outright pretend the virus doesn’t even exist is:
1). It lets China off the hook which is fucked up
2). It makes us look HORRIBLE to normies which hurts the conservative movement. Which is my biggest issue by far. I have to do my part to fight this segment of conservatives in order to help conservatives as a whole.
