Fuck.

I, like any southern man, love a cold Dr Pepper occasionally.

But no more. From here forward no coke products in my home.

If we must for a party I'll buy a non-coke, non-pepsi alternative.

The alternative is you continue funding your enemies

Dr Pepper is not owned by Coke or Pepsi, but it can be distributed by them depending on the contracts for your area.

Diet Dr. Pepper is amazing with bourbon, over ice.

Bad new bro, you're funding it whether you like to or not. Study in 2010 showed that $4 Billion in taxpayer funded foodstamps went to the purchase of soda. Undoubtedly more now.

For anybody wondering why Coke would pander to the pro-socialism welfare class, here is your answer.

Man, my 1st job as a Walmart associate was really eye opening. The people on food stamps bought food that I would consider to frivolous. Name brand shit, soda, and pre-made meals.

Now I dig WIK. If you are going to suckle from the government tit, they should get to decide what comes out of it. Dry beans, whole grain breads, and veg. I came out of college surviving off of rice and beans, peanut butter and apples, collards, chicken thighs, and was damn well a healthier person for it.

That was true 20 years ago. I wish more people would realize now that entitlements, etc are not "your tax money" anymore. The federal government operates without a budget these days, and prints the money they want and adds it to the deficit, which in all technicality is a loan against our kids but in practice it is not because it will never be paid back. It absolutely WILL be defaulted on. Nobody will ever come close to repaying this debt. And since they bail out mega banks, hedge funds, wall street why would anyone at this point have a problem with bailing out Joe Sixpack?

Dr Pepper is owned by Keurig Dr Pepper Inc., not Coca Cola. I've also been choosing DP to go with my burgers!
