Under no circumstances am I taking the vaccine. If it's conditional for my job, I'll work somewhere else. But this isn't the problem.

The problem is that my parents could very much go either way. Multiple doctors have told my mom to get it. Anyone who's anyone except me and my dad is telling her to get it. All conversations we have about reopening tend to start with 'once everyone gets the vaccine' now.

I spoke with her about this at a family discussion pertaining to it and she's really scared. She's scared of what might happen to her if she takes the vaccine, but also what might happen to her if she gets Covid. She has a problem with her arteries that most doctors haven't even heard of. There's no authority to trust, but there's also no 'doing you own research'. Her condition gave her a heart attack, but she doesn't have heart disease.

This has left her in a state where she's susceptible to being pushed around. I hate it. I hate it because I don't have a way to tell her not to get and also tell her that it's her choice. And telling her that it's her choice doesn't help her at all.

Both parents are aware of the adverse reactions people have had to the vaxx.

My dad often sides with me when we talk about it, but he has a tendency to make up his mind and not waver at all. I don't think he's made up his mind one way or the other on taking it yet though. He's very 'by the book'. If his work threatens him into taking it he will. He has heart disease, and he has had a heart-attack before.

Both my parents fit into one of the categories of people most likely to die from Covid if they get it. I fucking hate peer pressure.

If they are set on taking it, at least have them refuse the MRNA vaccines and take the Johnson and Johnson instead.

The Johnson and Johnson had some adverse short-term effects as well... idk what to say about that. It's all very unfamiliar to me. I've had vaccines for other things before, but it's always just a bit of muscle pain and sometimes some wooziness. One of my friends took a covid vaxx (not J&J I don't think) and he was throwing up violently for hours.

A relative of mine got very ill with a high fever for two days following their Moderna vaccine. I couldn’t talk them out of it.
