If they ever require drug tests to get guns, I'd be fucking pissed, and I don't do drugs. Barely even drink these days.

But it's a clear infringement on our rights. When you have freedom, you have the right to own firearms AND get buzzed if you so choose to!

That's just my belief. I don't like the fact people do certain hard drugs.... But it's also freedom. Many of our ancestors did drugs.

Hell, Americans used to buy morphine at their local drug store, over the counter, and give it to children to calm them down!

Pretty crazy the drug addiction problems of the 1850-1900s.

Used to be able to pick up hard drugs anywhere at any age. Unregulated.

I'd say it should be the same way today in a free country, but I also understand we don't want a bunch of drug addicts in USA...

But are we free if we can't do drugs, and hurt ourselves by choice?

Not really. America hasn't really been free for centuries... Just more free than others!

As per my moniker, I agree with this message. I have my own personal opinions but it's none of my business what someone chooses to ingest or do in the privacy of their own home.

If governments were sincere about drug abuse, they would address it primarily from a medical and not judicial approach. Jails and prisons are clogged with so many non-violent drug offenders that it reduces the effectiveness of the criminal justice system in dealing with actual criminals.
