At the very least we need to restrict the franchise. People should have to demonstrate skin in the game before voting. For example being a net tax payer and undergoing basic military training and maintaining ready-reserve status.
Someone who pays taxes isn't going to vote for government bloat and endless gibs for designated victim groups.
And someone who has a chance of getting drafted for war isn't going to vote for unnecessary foreign wars.

He couldn't have done it legally because there are rules banning the military's involvement in election related situations. They also had signaled a few times that they would not get involved, so even if he tried it he wouldn't have been listened to.
And what the hell would that have done? We would have an even worse outcome if he did that. They would be putting us in real gulags right now. It would have destroyed the movement completely.
