Pedes, I’ve got a “fine points” question that I would like to hear some opinion and or wisdom on:
“ I’ve missed GEOTUS’ little digs to the left and winks to us Patriots such as referring to himself in tweets as, “...your favorite president...” knowing it would give us a chuckle and the lefties an involuntary eye twitch.
He did it again here, (lord, I miss even the little things) but he made it a piping to say, “your favorite REPUBLICAN president.”
The man knows exactly what he’s doing so this wasn’t an accident, so what might have been the point of emphasizing the “REPUBLICAN”? Who is he sending a “between the lines” message to here, and what might be the more subtle message be?
Thank you - it's what I was suspecting (hoping). - It wasn't a shout of support to the current, fossilized Republican entrenched leadership (like McConnell), it was a declaration of what the Republican party is going to be about - who it will be representing, and who'll be helming it going forward.

The clear message is that he's not interested in any "third party" stuff, and that we shouldn't be either if we want to support him.
The Uniparty heartily approves of his disinterest.
