Thank you - it's what I was suspecting (hoping). - It wasn't a shout of support to the current, fossilized Republican entrenched leadership (like McConnell), it was a declaration of what the Republican party is going to be about - who it will be representing, and who'll be helming it going forward.
The clear message is that he's not interested in any "third party" stuff, and that we shouldn't be either if we want to support him.
