When Republicans have power, it's always "oh, we don't want to be divisive, we have to play nice and meet in the middle, let's all be reasonable..." Yep. Conservativism hasn't pushed to the right like they should be. As an example, left wants open borders. Right should say "okay, we demand that all illegal immigrants found in this country be executed on the spot. Further, any company found hiring an illegal will be charged 15% of their annual gross revenue per infraction." Then just stick with it. Either we "negotiate" for instant deportation of all illegals or we just kill them. Either way, we get what we want. The current model is "negotiate" for "only" a few tens of millions at a time. Eff that.
