I tried calling the diocese had to leave a message. I asked the nazi lady greeters would Jesus wear mask? They said YES. The priest said Jesus would deny me entry on Easter Sunday. Even in Texas after the mask mandate is lifted lots of places deny you entry. It’s so depressing. I need a lawyer who would fight this.
Edit: Thanks for all the kind words, advice and support. I really needed it and it helped me tremendously. I will be trying all the ideas below and give an update. Kind of sad I can’t go to my priest but my fellow pedes saved me from despair. God Bless you all.
2nd Update: Got ahold of archdiocese of Houston. The lady I talked to was sympathetic but sent me to a voicemail for ‘complaints’. No reply yet. Also heard from Queen of Angels in Dickinson - Latin Mass - short uber ride away. They will not deny me without a mask! Please support this parish pedes. And thanks to the based pedes who suggested it. They are true Christians! I can also go to confession 30 mins before Mass which helps since I have called the priest a loser faggot and I really shouldn’t have :( Also asked to meet the Bishop. I will continue to fight back. What they did is cruel.
Is there a name for this visual disability? I know wearing a mask impairs my vision slightly which is why I remove it at my desk at work, rules be damned.
Your eyes are constantly trying to scan the area and make sense of it. If you have one eye there is no 3d. I have no depth perception. So if you introduce the mask the eye is trying to make sense of this abnormal thing in front of your face. Constantly focusing to the weird item against your face. It thinks its a danger like a bee or something that might cause you harm. If you have nerve damage the eye can’t focus as fast. It’s like the little wheel booting up the computer. So the brain starts writing in what it thinks is there. I have seen weird things like optical illusions of the floor coming up to hit me in the face or something like when you hit a weird area of a video game and there is a grid not filled in. If I go from outdoors to indoors the dark to light takes a long time to focus. Yours could be just trying to overcompensate because its not natural to have some weird thing in front of your eye. Since you wear it all day maybe the eye gets tired constantly refocusing on that thing next to your eye. This kind of explains it really well. https://www.cracked.com/personal-experiences-2192-you-dream-with-two-eyes-4-realities-life-with-one-eye.html
The end result... wearing a mask causes me to trip and fall and run into things. It can be serious one time I tripped someone tried to grab me and fell on top of me cracking my head on the pavement and knocked me out. Ended up in the hospital.
I definitely don't have anything like you do. I never wear the mask for more than an hour at a time so I never got used to it.
I'm sorry you have such a serious situation. You should look into a face shield instead. Lots of people who can't wear a mask are allowed to wear face shields instead. Wearing nothing is best but if you have no choice then it is an option to consider.
The face shield is worse. The eye knows its there and tries to compensate so imagine having no 3D vision and no depth perception now you have a piece of plastic there! The brain freaks out and tries to redraw what it thinks should be there. So I get like smoky vision or patches of a grid. The body is pretty amazing. Your eyes actually turn everything upside down. So imagine the brain trying to make sense of a piece of plastic in front of your face 2 inches away. When people have makeshift plastic up at grocery stores and restaurants i knock my hand against it all the time its weird like my brain can’t write it properly. Needless to say Covid has been hell for me
