Clearwater is Scientology central. Great beaches, but better to visit than live there. Polk has a great sheriff (Grady Judd) but a lot of lower class areas and crime.
Head north of Tampa. Land O Lakes and Wesley Chapel are booming, middle class, with lots of family friendly activities, good shopping, restaurants, LOW taxes, etc. You can get to Hardrock via Rt 75. Traffic is getting crazy in Florida with so many people moving here, but it will be within your window of commute time.
It depends on your situation and lifestyle. All three towns are decent places to live. Brandon is closest to Hardrock. There's good shopping in the area, you're close to Tampa to take advantage of all the city has to offer. Lakeland has a beautiful lake area and affordable older homes. Plant City is a bit rural, close to nice parks where canoeing and off roading is a big thing.
The Tampa/Clearwater/St Pete region is run by Progressives, and its getting worse. Not all of FL escaped the mask mandates and business closings. Look further south to Sarasota or North to the Panhandle if your looking for Gulf Coast living.
I'd love to live in the Panhandle but unfortunately there's no casinos out there for me to work in and I don't know poker. I'm coming from Philly so is Tampa as bad as them?
Actually there’s a dog track which has some gambling in the Panhandle area, closer to Tallahassee you’ll have to look up the name. Tampa is a great city, but has a Progressive mayor. Look at Riverview just south of Tampa, it’s a growing market and fairly easy access to all parts of the Central Gulf Coast.
If you're basing your decision on political demographics, both Clearwater (Pinellas County) and Tampa (Hillsborough County) are Democrat areas.
Pasco to the north, Polk to the east, and Manatee to the south are Republication areas.
Well I'm trying to get as close to that as I can I plan on working at Hardrock Tampa but would like to live around a somewhat based area so I was thinking either Plant city, Brandon, Dade city, Lakeland, West Chapel or somewhere near the gulf coast
It's a shit hole anything 2 blocks or more from the water.
Oh damn thanks for the heads up
Okay do you know any other counties I plan on working at Tampa Hardrock I'm okay with commuting at least a 30 min a 1hr to work there
Oh maybe I'll stick to the Pasco, Polk areas then I figured it would be easy since the maps said it was a 30 min commute
