Not to mention the mountain heaps of cons tied to renting apartments. Things break, maintenance isn't going to be there to fix it. Air quality issues, mold, dust, etc. If you get bed bugs or dust mites good luck, there's no easy solutions. Utility bills to keep track of. If you live in a mobile home subdivision you have to meticulously take care of your lawn and appearances.
Me? I live day to day, debt free, no bills except a gym membership for showers and a phone bill for gps and data. Everything about my life is better than a renter, and the only thing homeowners have on me is assets that will get more valuable over time. But while they invest in assets and play the waiting game, I'm out having a better time than them. Spending the prime of my life enjoying it instead of waiting for retirement, when I'm too old to fuckin walk around freely.
I am confused. You dont rent a place, you don't own, so where do you sleep? Not every homeowner is in debt or even needs to work until some arbitrary retirement age to actually retire and still be able to afford to pay bills. Many homeowners ARE not only NOT in debt but have house paid off very early, have a good nest egg, and are enjoying life while working a job because they LIKE to work.
I mean you were making fair points all the way up until you said "because they like to work." No, nobody likes to work, and I can prove it. Go up to anyone anywhere and offer them two options.
Hello sir, would you like to golf 18 holes and then go to the beach until sunset or would you like to work in your office for the day?
See, now we're being honest. I don't have to work because I compete for a living. I'm not even saying I have the best life. Some people have it better, but not a lot.
Just because YOU don't like to work, doesn't mean that others don't. For many, they not only truly enjoy their job, but it gives them purpose other than just sitting away the day serving themselves and their own pleasures that only benefit them.
Lol stfu with this dumb shit. The fact is if anyone says they like their job, it means they are bored/miserable with life. They haven't figured out how to be happy or deal with their internal issues. They like their job not because it's likable, but because it serves as a means of blocking out all their misery for awhile. People also want a sense of purpose because they can't figure out how to get it outside of a job. They could also be addicted to their jobs, like a teenager addicted to soda. The point is it's unhealthy.
So you get to dictate the joy others may have in their lives? Only YOUR way of living works? GTFOH with that. You do you, pal, but stop shoving your lifestyle down our throats as though it's something we all should desire. It may be an ideal life for YOU but no way would I EVER want to live that life. You apparently have never had a job you love or found one that also has great people to work with. Sucks for you.
