Not to mention the mountain heaps of cons tied to renting apartments. Things break, maintenance isn't going to be there to fix it. Air quality issues, mold, dust, etc. If you get bed bugs or dust mites good luck, there's no easy solutions. Utility bills to keep track of. If you live in a mobile home subdivision you have to meticulously take care of your lawn and appearances.
Me? I live day to day, debt free, no bills except a gym membership for showers and a phone bill for gps and data. Everything about my life is better than a renter, and the only thing homeowners have on me is assets that will get more valuable over time. But while they invest in assets and play the waiting game, I'm out having a better time than them. Spending the prime of my life enjoying it instead of waiting for retirement, when I'm too old to fuckin walk around freely.
Legit have thought of this in the past. Where do you go if you just want to chill and relax? Do you have a van etc? If you want to bring a chick home, yes you can go to her place but what are you going to say when she wants to see your place?
The best way I find to chill and relax depends on the day. If it's beautiful and sunny out hit up a trail at a state park, disc golf, sub for a team needing a player in a softball league, hit up a driving range. If it's cloudy or rainy go to a bar and listen to some live bands.
As far as the 2nd part I got all that taken care of too. For me I don't have to lie about what I do because I'm an actual roadie. I play poker and shoot pool for a living, but you can just make up a travel job.
"Yeah I travel everywhere and hit up airbnbs and hotels, it's pretty fun."
Not only is this a great excuse, it's more alluring to them. The money you save will be invested into sharp looking outfits and other shit they like.
I like it but what sucks is I'm physically too big to sleep in the back of a regular car or truck. I could potentially see a van though.. Sounds like I'd be out more having a good time to say the least.
A van would actually be the most ideal, but you'd need a small van and one with the ability to properly vent. And you'd have to vent every single night it's that important.
i always vent at night when i sleep
and mornings when i wake up... and most of the day
