In Houston pretty much every store still requires them. A lot have removed the mandatory mask signs yet everyone still wears them. I just stopped wearing them on Friday and it's been great, PI really wish I would have as soon as the Texas mandate was lifted. I for sure get looks from all of the sheep but I don't give a fuck - Not a single person has said anything to me yet.
Went to HEB last night and the wife and I BOTH commented about how many people aren't wearing them now. Sure, HEB has their giant banner up, but never once in all this time did anyone say anything to me.
I still see signs here and there, but any sign that says "due to state and local mandates" I immediately prepare the argument of "your sign is out of date so I'm just assuming you forgot to take it down." lol
Good on you for giving it up. It's like living in an open-secret society. You know, with freedoms and stuff.
Almost every business is still nicely asking, demanding, or wanting you to wear masks.
Not where I'm at in Central Texas. There's a small number, but I've been in stores and restaurants for months without one.
