Yeah Marin county is not really gonna like that.

Also, poor single mothers won’t be able to afford living in Marin, even with an extra 12k per year. That probably won’t even cover half the rent.

Let's do the math: 12k per year + what they currently make = 12k per year. Yeah, still poverty and still hard to make rent.

I lived in Marin for a year pre-plandemic. 2 bedroom, near the Richardson Bay, paid $7400 a month. There are many inland/not on bay that go for 3400 now.... but they are dumps. Let's fix the liberal shitholes before we give out free money...

Not who you asked, but yes, $50-100K/year is not at all unheard of in Marin.

Yes..... covered by the contract I had there. And I was in a "dump" compared to other places. 5400 was the going rate for a 1 bedroom. Oh... and plus all taxes and food, and city tax, county tax, hoa, etc. I don't know how anyone makes it there.

I’ll never understand in a million years why people live in California. In any other (state except in NY) in about 6yrs you could have bought an entire half a million dollar house for that kind of money.

Aaaaamen Brother. If it wasn't for work location I would never live here. I have land and a house in NV that I go to on weekends. Still sucks though.

In my (high cost of living) County, the low income people all live together!

So you've got three single Mothers of Color, splitting $36,000 Gibs to make rent, plus anything else they earn, plus any child support payments.

I think they'll do just fine in Marin.
