A lot of the most ‘activist’ corporations also seem to inordinately benefit from exemptions from antitrust and various consumer protection laws; protection from competition using government monopoly grants like copyrights and trademarks; investment funding, research grants and contracts directly provided by government agencies; and regulatory capture opportunities leveraged to shift business costs and hurdles onto taxpayers.
