All viruses mutate, that's normal. It's just normal variance in a virus. There's nothing to worry about. There is no evidence that any new variant "targets young people more", that's just fear mongering.

Truthfully, I had a virologist discuss this with me and in actuality there is good science behind how variants are in fact likely to be deadlier because lockdowns have weakened our immune systems and thus the weaker viruses haven't been killed off as readily, thus the virus is better able to mutate into viruses that can get around our immune system's defenses. In effect, the virologist said because of lockdowns, social distancing, etc... we will have created a scenario for variants of the virus to develop that will be more deadly. This gets compounded further when you consider the mRNA vaccine as well and how it handles the virus. You can still transmit the virus with the mRNA vaccine so the vaccine also allows for the virus to mutate into variants that will be more deadly.

In short - there's good science behind the variants of covid-19 likely to be more deadly but just how deadly is being blown way out of proportion.

You can check your probability of dying based on historic data at www.qcovid.org and you'll find for someone 32yo who is healthy (me), there's a 0.0005% chance of dying from covid. I am 100x more likely to get struck by lightning. If that increases to 0.001%, that's still entirely irrelevant.

Hard to keep track. Probably the "new" African strain (hence found im africa). Like always saying its resistant to older covid strain antibodies (which make zero sense). Also Africa has very low data. What is known is that it seems even the poorest of countries in africa did better then 90% of the world. Also when i say africa substract the northeast corner (egypt) Thats basically the middle east. So your answer is zero evidence verified (that I've seen/heard). There advertising now one of the vaccines is 100% safe and effective in kids, while also having to admit they are still in the research stage of development and haven't finished finished preliminary testing for any actual evidence of this 100% effectiveness...

You need to put your foot down immediately. Tell them "My Body, my choice" and that if they don't promptly stop acting like domestic abusers, you will terminate your relationship(s) with them and treat them like an abusive ex. What they are doing is abuse, don't tolerate abuse.
