I'm 51 years old, I've lived in 7 states for more than 5 years each and have had at least a hundred different jobs from fast food and construction to graphic design and warehouse work and have only met one true racist in my entire life. He was an ex-con who had to side up with the racists in prison in order to survive. Other than that one guy nobody else in my entire life had anything racist to share with the rest of the world.
The only people who think the world is overrun with racism, are racists. Projection is powerful these days.

49 here, grew up in SC, and I was definitely exposed to LOTS of racism when I was school age.
It has dramatically decreased as the older population died off.
