Kinda a pet peeve, but as an Asian, lumping middle easterners and (dot)Indians in with Asians is kinda annoying. Everyone knows that Asian typically refers to having the oriental look. Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Flip, Koreans, etc.
Agreed. In Europe they do it to obscure the Muslim background of violent offenders. There is no group more peaceful and generally successful than true Asians and Hindus, so they lump the crazies in with you.
There are actually 48 countries that comprise asia. So, what is typical depends on what you have learned in geography not necessarily what has an oriental look. I am part chinese but I dont have an "oriental" look but it doesnt make me any less asian.

False, people from China,Korea, and Vietnam aren’t Asians. Only Cambodians ,Burmese people,people from the Indian subcontinent,filipinos ,people from Indonesia and Singapore, and some south Chinese people are Asians.
