It is true but a little misleading. 1,822 is hospitalizations and 38M is "estimated burden" (not everyone gets hospitalized or even tested). 2019-2020 hospitalizations was 400K-700K. It's hard to estimate the current flu burden since anyone with flu-like symptoms is counted as China Flu, thus the hospitalizations becomes the estimated burden.

Yes though the numbers are completely misleading the whole point is to show anyone who shares a similar symptom of covid is considered a covid case.
