What state is that? It’s not that you can’t legally own a gun, you can no longer legally buy a gun. In the background checks they ask if you’re addicted to any controlled substance. You can either lie (felony) or fail the background check if you say yes. They won’t come get your already owned guns just bc you have a med card. Unless you allow them too of course.
I have friends in med/Rec states, you need to renew your med card every year, so buy your guns before you renew your card, that way you’re not technically lying on the background check.
I think every pot farmer has the right to protect their property with a full-auto rifle.
Surely nobody will abuse this law with fake IDs to keep people they don't like from being able to get guns.
In Arizona before recreational it was the same way. Weed or guns. Now that’s it’s rec I haven’t looked up the laws, I just walk in cc, make my purchase and leave.
