A friend of mine who is half Arab half Kuwaiti (and all American) immigrated to the US to get away from the racism he experienced being mixed race living in Kuwait. He said the US was great because everyone "just thinks I'm Mexican". He meant it sincerely and joyfully, this was decades before Woke, Inc. took control of occupy/blm/democrats.
I've known since then how simple it was to expat from the mideast to Mexico, learn the language, adopt the accent, and walk right across the border. Which you can do as it is wide open everywhere.

That's an awfully wide brush there. There are at least 50 separate (major) ethnic groups that make up "Arabs" in our world view, the same way we refer to all peoples of mixed Spanish heritage as "Latino".
They definitely don't see it that way, and exploit those differences constantly to gain and keep power.
("True") Arabs used to be known as Ishmaelites and rooted purely in the Arabian Peninsula, divided into kingdoms but descended from the same tribe. Geographically, it refers to the ones that settled in the area ruled by the House of Saud. Kuwait is a different kingdom, think Welsh vs. English for an analogy.
Referring to Semites (ethnic groups rooted in the Middle East and Northern Africa with a common semitic language root) as Arabs is a modern convention.
