Who maintains the technology keeping the general population alive? Who repairs the machines making Brawndo?

Is the movie from the perspective of the intelligent descendants of those who fled hundreds of years ago to escape the tsunami of "wokeness"?

Is the movie a revelation of how the so-called elite actually view the general population of inhabitants in the USA and other countries?

Its kind of like how we cant build F1 rocket engines anymore. We have the schematics and specs but the practical knowledge and notes from the machine shop on how to actually manufacture the parts are lost. With computers we have made an ecosystem where programming is abstracted almost completely away from the hardware it runs on. If the knowledge of the layers and layers of systems that allows the high level abstract layer were lost we would be in trouble. Its very unlikely though. That idea though is interesting and somewhat common in scifi.

Considering the general quality of modern coding I would say programming fundamentals have been largely lost.
