People drop dead of hearth conditions, not unusual. Take Joe Strummer: Guitarist/singer for the Clash. Did drugs, punk lifestyle, etc. Retires, lives normal ratther quiet life. Drops dead at 50 from hearth condition (congenital).
She had a bad case of sleep apnea, or so they say. Weakens the heart, etc... You can aactually die from it. Not sure if she was back doing drugs on top of it.
You most certainly can. Many people have very serious heart conditions without their knowledge of it.

Carrie Fischer died pretty young of "natural causes".
She was a rare proponent of electro-shock "therapy". Just like a vaccine, no one questions why someone just died 20 years early.
