I would teach him how to shoot pool and play poker. The time he would be spending in school will be the time he practices these two games. After a few years of reading the right books, analyzing hands, working on stroke mechanics drills, he will already be talented enough to make the same money a college graduate makes.

The level of education most high school graduates have now is the equivalent of an 8th grade graduate not 20 years ago. It's really pathetic. High school grads from decent schools are barely literate and can't write a coherent sentence to save their lives. They understanding of the world around them is absolutely pathetic. They don't know history at all. They know even less of other subjects. There's literally no point in wasting your child's time by sending them to public school. If you can afford a private school that isn't trash, send them there. Otherwise you're much better off homeschooling them. They can learn everything they need to know on the internet and by actually doing things anyway.
