If I had a 12 year old kid, right now, I'd take him out of school. I wouldn't homeschool him either. He already knows how to read and write and he knows math. He'd never have to go to school again.

I would teach him how to shoot pool and play poker. The time he would be spending in school will be the time he practices these two games. After a few years of reading the right books, analyzing hands, working on stroke mechanics drills, he will already be talented enough to make the same money a college graduate makes.

Why would he read any books when you obviously don't care?

Hope he is wiser than that and doesn't end up hating the lost time when he sees how the homeschooled kids are doing...
