They have too much of an “I know what is right” attitude, and a “this is how it should be” because of principle xyz. And they don’t want to get involved, rather they want to point out the poor logic.
News flash my fellow libertarians, most people are low information, biased, or just plain stupid. Making all the arguments has not helped the way you thought it would. Hell you can’t even agree among yourselves.
Point being, you need to get involved, yes that means politically, yes that means siding with someone to prevent the complete and total destruction of western civilization.
I disagree. Libertarians in my experience tend to be very intelligent. They just have a lot of arrogance and blind sides because of doctrinaire adherence to principles. Particularly in situations where adherence to a principle will lead to their own demise.
E.g. libertarians that are for open borders. They say “the government shouldn’t exist and thus shouldn’t enforce or have boarders”. Ok great, In theory, but the government does exist. And they ignore that letting in millions of people that will eventually allow the immigrants to use the government against them, and will lead to destruction of the culture that allows them to sit around and opine about borders.
It’s like being against a dam, and instead of keeping the dam and slowly draining it, they just want to remove it without consideration to what function it is serving, regardless of it should be there or not or the consequence of removing it.
