Wearing a mask as a form of protection is very limited in it's usefulness in its current common useage with cloth or paper cloth products.
Where it does have value is if it being worn on people who do have the virus and can be shedding viral loads on mucus particles, when they breathe or talk.
Anything you put in front of the environment has the potential to help, you could use a huge fishnet and it will trap one in a billion particles.
It's more a forced/ learned behavior from the government to control us and it's a psychological Band-Aid to the weak sheeple.
