Cuomo and state legislators butted heads on big-ticket budget items, including the tax hike that will impose a roughly 1 percent increase on New Yorkers who make more than $1 million a year and establishes new tax brackets for the state’s highest earners.

Oh FUCK this.

Who are they kidding? Just because you're successful, you now owe the government more?? What's to incentivize me to make $1,000,001 now? They're just going to take it all.

And what will they do with it? Fund programs I don't need like universal pre-K or low-income housing? How does that help me? What do I get out of it??

When Trump was President, this country realized that a good deal meant you got something in return. This stinks!

Practically speaking, if you make over a million a year, you will simply move, either to a neighboring commuter state or just somewhere else.

The commuter states for NY are: NJ and CT. Both are similar vampire states. Everyone is apparently going to Florida. Conservatives and lefties alike are getting the fuck out. I'm one of the only idiots still trying to hold out. But eventually they're going to run out of people who make more money than I do, then they'll come for me even more than they already do.

South Carolina is overwhelmed right now. We were the #4 destination state for NY refugees about 4 months ago.
