Why do people vote for Democrats who raise taxes to ridiculous levels, then leave because the taxes are too high, and then vote the same way in their new state?

I don't get this mentality.

Are they just too stupid to realize the connection?

  1. Vote for Democrat who says they want to raise taxes
  2. Democrat gets in power and starts taxing everything
  3. "Oh no! The taxes are too high! I'm going to Florida or Texas!"
  4. Continues to vote for Democrat who says they want to raise taxes in their new state

What causes this behavior?

I used to live in Florida and had to leave, because my county got invaded with New Yawkers who were escaping taxes. They elected Democrats and started taxing everything (1% sale tax increase, new taxes on homes, etc.). Eventually it just got too expensive to live there.

They lack understand of cause and affect. It's like how they can't work the heater controls in a house or car...
