Who told you that ... NBC? ... they’ve lied to you your whole life, and you still believe them
Sure drugs are bad ... except when we use them to treat depression, psychosis, pain, mania ... but please keep living in the reality that paragon of truth and justice Edward Kennedy crafted for you
I am talking about LSD. He was the big promoter of that. I knew a young man who jumped off a cliff on that. May have thought he could fly. We will never know.
I knew another man who still feels effects today, sometimes, from youthful use of LSD. Recurring delusions or hallucinations.
I knew a girl, completely innocent type, who somehow was given hashish at a party. She was never the same again, and eventually ended up in a mental hospital. That was her first and only drug experience, but the hashish was very strong. Psychotic forever.
We could have done without drugs. We wouldn't be less enlightened.
Medical use is legit, as you say. Even then, you have to keep an eye on it.
Edward Kennedy? I have no awareness of his opinions. I just know he was the president's brother, lowered the voting age to eighteen from twenty-one, thereby guaranteeing the future of the Democrat Party, and famously crashed a car and didn't call the cops until the next morning, and his companion drowned. Other than that, I know nothing about him. Or care either.
MSM? I have never watched TV, really. Its pace is too slow for me. I am on my laptop. Have never, ever, got my news from MSM. The presenters annoy me. I can feel them taking over my mind and I hate that feeling. I would rather watch a movie.
Yes, legit use of psychotropic drugs is very valuable.
Not recreational use of hallucinogens where I basically lost two friends and part of a third.
So damn him for popularizing this concept of self-medication and how harmless it supposedly is. It isn't.
Many people do some good things and some bad things in their lives.
I pointed out a bad thing he did. His doing other things does not make what he did bad, less bad. He is THE person who normalized drug use, most specifically, LSD.
Damn Timothy Leary. He normalized drugs in a population, yours, that had never used them before. He was at Harvard, so they trusted. Damn him.

Yeah I know ... and Edward Kennedy and the MSM vilified his research and dr Leary himself
Whatever you think you know about him, it’s a lie ... imagine if I’m 20y you found out about trump or gaetz from an interview with Liz Cheney ...

Timothy Leary was based. He held a fundraiser for Ron Paul's 1988 presidential campaign.

Maybe it has been watered down since my two friends' time?
I am glad you are all right but I would never say, "sure, fine," to anybody who was considering it. Or any other drug.
