A man with a knife can close 20 feet and mortally wound a person before they can draw their weapon. This is a fact, and should be driven home to every person until it is a known fact by every person in the world.

When I took martial arts my instructor talked with a master in a knife fighting style. That guy said knives are never a joke. “Even if you both have a knife the winner of a knife fight is the one dying of blood loss in the ambulance.” I may have butchered but it’s stuck with me.
