https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2020/sep/02/facebook-posts/collage-gruesome-attacks-has-nothing-do-black-live/

The images are from South Africa. So while they are blacks attacking whites, they're several years old and not from BLM attacks in the US.

While I believe that is correct don't use politifact to back up your argument. Even in the article they can only trace one photo to being from South Africa for sure but said some others were used to show attack in South Africa. Politifact is steaming pile of dogshit and partisan as bad as one can possibly be.

And yet it was far more accurate than the meme.

Chew on that.

If you're going to shit on Politifact here, you should be hopping mad about the blatant lie the meme itself presented, because that is coming from "one of us" and yet makes us look like liars and/or retards and makes it very easy to discredit us and have people not trust us to tell the truth or convey accurate information about issues.

When people are already looking for excuses to ignore you and your message, this does real harm.

Don't play into it. Expect better.

And if I have to share a Politifact link to point this shit out, rather than just have people share blatant false bullshit, you can bet I'd do it again. And if you gave half as much a shit about the underlying message getting out as I do, you'd care about accuracy too, even if it meant sharing a biased fact checking source.

The point is to show that there is an error involved and hopefully make people think a little more carefully next time. Not to promote Politifact itself as some perfect authority.

Just like I'll keep linking to Wikipedia for quick summaries of shit even though Wikipedia is biased as well, especially on some topics. Because usually for topics that are less tied to current social justice ideology, the summaries are mostly accurate and great for a quick laymen level understanding.

I'm not going to let some misguided quest for perfect get in the way of good enough, when you double standard hypocrites sure as fuck aren't holding shit like these memes to HALF the level you're demanding of things like Wikipedia or Fact Checkers.

Be consistent.
