We are seeing how they compromise politicians. I am not busting Gaetz as he was a target but if he gets off and nobody is charged with extortion...its a situation you cannot ignore. State of Florida has DeSantis and the lawyer involved is former DOJ but a citizen. He can be buried.
That depends greatly on where things took place. I don’t think it’s fair to expect a charge in order for Gaetz to be clear. Maybe Florida can come through God knows Desantis and his AG would go to bat if they could but deep state folks have been playing the game for years they wouldn’t be that sloppy. The game might have been to get Gaetz to pay up and they failed.

I didn't downvote you and it wouldn't bother me if you downvoted me. What I shared is an unpopular opinion but it is how I feel. Gaetz has been a fence guy on issues that has bothered me (Iran). If Desantis doesn't fight than we know he is not our guy as well. We need fighters right now. Even if he loses going after them is important. In fact he should propose regulation on all FBI activity in his state. They are corrupt.
What do you expect DeSantis to do if the crime wasn’t committed in Florida? When you say Gaetz and Iran what are you wanting him to do on that issue? Gaetz was great on the election, great on impeachment, and he shits on rinos. His family is independently wealthy and that makes him much less likely to be bought.
I am with you though on going after federal entities and we are starting to see this in states telling feds you can’t enforce Biden gun control in their jurisdictions. I want to see more though.
He wanted congressional authority on any strikes against Iran while Trump was POTUS and Congress was full of 3rd world degenerates. Don't get me wrong I like Gaetz but we are all vulnerable. Will have to see how it plays out.
Desantis should shit down the throats of the DOJ (FBI). They are corrupt and he is better off kicking them out and putting state authorities as oversight on all their investigations. There is no legal binding agreement that says FBI must operate in a state. He could make a request they will deny and use it as his reason to bar them from having entities within his state.
