Finding that our Backstop....the LAW....is dead in this Country...dead in the DAs, dead in the Cops, and dead in the Judiciary is probably the hardest blows of the last year.
That just means you're living in the wrong part of the country.
My old hometown, where I grew up? There were no riots there last year. The police weren't having none of it. A few protests tried to happen, and they got shut down FAST. One of them was a march that tried to enter the town via one of the local main streets. Police blockaded it and turned it back the way they came.
The few who tried to start shenanigans? The law went after them with extreme prejudice. They got pepper-sprayed, bonked with batons, arrested, and the local DA actually pressed charges.
Far as I can tell, there's a lot of towns in the U.S. who dealt with the riots this way. Problem is, the press never reported on them. Didn't fit the narrative. Can't have the rioters being depicted as losers.
Why can't we all just become Rooftop Koreans?
